Morning all....
It's Tuesday, May 5th, Happy Cinco De Mayo...
sorry i know i dont sound excited i am offally tired...had an 8:30 class this a.m and it is pretty damn lousy out, but once I grab coffee cup #2 I think i will feel a little better...
blogging seems is pretty theraputic for me, I dont know why I insitit on being so fucking lazy and not set time aside for it...

anyways, in other news; I just what to say Rest In Peace to E-Rock. E-Rock passed away sunday night/monday morning due to a drug overdose. He lived in College Point (my hometown), we use to chill when I was younger, at the park and what not, but I havent really spoke him in years, I've been hearing how he feel off and really was in a bad way...I saw him on the bus a few weeks ago, but I wasnt sure if he would recognize me or know who i am so I didnt bother saying anything....maybe I should have....He was really close to many friends of mine, and I know we will al keep him close to our hearts, along with the others who have left us too soon....
One of the reason C.P kids are so close is that no one else knows how it is to live there, its a place you cant really put into words, and when shit like this goes down....which it does too often, we are all in it together, grieving together, remebering together, holding eachother down...

Swine Flu Outbreak in Queens

Now at a level 5 emergency level, this Swine Flu epidemic seems to be hitting pretty close to home. Within the past week there have been 8 confirmed cases of Swine Flu, all in Queens, all at MY highschool, St. Francis Preparatory (along with over 100 other possible infections within the school) A group of girls from Bayside, Qu had spent their spring break in Cancun Mexico and had brought this viral illness back into the states once school resided.

MTA Issues 2 Million Commemorative Mets MetroCards

Just read on the transit blog that 2 mill Mets Metro Cards will be found at popular 7 train stops....I cant wait to grab one, I'll probably stop by Willets Point tomorrow, after Easter Dinner and try to pick one up...this is pretty exciting for my...My Team and My Train in plain black and white....Check out the more details given by the Transit Blog....

The best way to get to and from a Mets game is by riding the 7 to Mets-Willets Point. It’s fast, convenient and the 7 stops just steps away from the front gate. And just think, MetroCard is your ticket to ride!

For weekday afternoon and all weekend games, there is local service only to the stadium. However, for evening games express service whisks you from Midtown Manhattan to Flushing. Customers attending night games, including weekends, benefit from express service back to Manhattan.

Express trains leave Willets Point shortly after the conclusion of each home game and the service runs until about one hour after the game. Express trains are queued outside of Willets Point and arrive on the middle track every six minutes. The travel time between Mets- Willets Point and Queensboro Plaza has also been shortened by about six minutes compared with local service.

“Subway service to and from Mets games has been a major league hit with baseball fans,” noted John Hoban Flushing Line General Manager, who added that post-game express service after weeknight games was especially popular with the baseball fans.

To commemorate the new stadium and the Mets, NYC Transit has issued 2 million black and white MetroCards titled ‘Take the 7 Train to the Game,’ which are currently in MetroCard Vending Machines in 10 busy stations along the line

So yesterday, while I was taking a nap, my good friend Reek, left me a message and told me that there was an accident 5 Points (a well known building filled with artists studios on the inside and covered with graffiti art on the outside located in Long Island City, Queens) He said that the stairs on the outside of the building had collapsed and a few people were injured.
I just realized that I was suppose to be there yesterday, getting footage for you guys of the building, view and bullshitting with building owner Meres (who i've met before at his gallery opening, and really is a chill kid)...So anyway, im glad I didnt go or else that poor woman could have been me....She will deffinitly be in my prayers, I hope everything is ok with her....

Good morning all!!
Its not-so bright and early this Tuesday morning. Only 8 am and I have already registered for classes, showered, put laundry in, and now enjoying a cup of joe. Today is going to be a loooong day to say the least.
Yesterday I had the change to go home, back to Queens, for the day. Although it was pretty nasty out it was definitely enjoyable, around 4 pm I picked up my good friend Colin from school and we went to his place for a late lunch, some t.v and a little graf sesh with his buddy. I told him about my project for viral marketing so he will most likely be going me ...and you on the adventures around Queens.
Last night we went to get some more footage for my video, that was due last week :/ , I hope editing this is easier this time....Anyways we went down to Jamaica Ave which was good, but unfortunately the stores were closing up and the rain made getting out of the car seem unappealing. So we got some sick drive by shots, im excited to chop it up and see whats good with it. Probably wont get the opportunity to until late tonight or tomorrow because of work.
After the ave we hoped on the Grand Central to the Queens Museum where the Globe is. I havent been there in so long, and this time the rain had no say when it came to getting out of the car. Because it was so dark I wasnt able to get such great footage buuut it was still good to visit there. Its so close to my house yet I never seem to make the time for it. I think friday afer class Colin and I will spend the day over there...going to the Museum and then possible over to 5 points. '
It was getting a little late and me and the smelly kid were deffinitly getting hungry, so we jumped back in the car and headed out towards Corona...but before that we made a pit stop to the beauiful new home for my endearing team...Citi Field.... It looks so epic to me, I cant wait to get a foot in...Oh! I forgot to tell you, late Fri night, around 3 am, my boy Tim hit me up to see if I wanted to go to the game on Sat...AHHH! I was so mad because of course I had some silly responsibility to do, which of course was....defensive driving class to lower my insurence.....yay! ughhh
ok ok back to the point....after the statium, we passed through the junk yards....probably killin my car but Colin insisted, wanted to peep some graf...and I get a kick out of the grime over there anyways....
Ok so off to Mama's Empanadas....yummmm damn I havent had them since last summer....they were deffinitly just as good as I remeber..I got the cheeseburger, cheesesteak, and cheese....I dont remeber what colin got, he got like 4 or 5 but whatever it deffinitly stunkup the car a bit...suprise suprise...heh....
iight so ima be late for class and I have to switch my laundry...oh boy...hopefully ill be back late with some more bullshit...

Mets Grub Yummm! : 12 days until home opener!

So I have officially decided to dedicate this blog to the Amazin' Mets, along with the Brooklyn Cyclones, and the occasional snips of NYC sports info.

First I'd like to touch on the new stadium, Citi Field, which has gotten nothing but amazing reviews...

Here the reporter talks about the amazing 25,000 Comfortable seating arrangement and the unique view. Within the stadium, Met fans can be assured their most fondest memory of Shea will be a major part of this new legendary stadium......The Mets Apple!!! I really am glad they decided to keep this important part of Mets history, I remember signing a petition a while back because of rumors that they were not going to keep this magical hat.

Speaking about food...This video also briefly talks about food that is being served at the new statium, more specifically, a Queens sushi joint, Mama's embanadas of Corona (which I have deffinitly endulded in quite a few drunken nights) Cascarino's Pizzaria (a pizza place that I have been going to since I was in grammer school, located on College Point Blvd. Queens, about 2 blocks from my house), also the infomous Nathans (god those cheese fries are to die for!) and a NY fav ShakeShack.

Goodmorning all,
Happy Friday!

It seems that somehow I have over slept for my 8:30 class. When I first woke and saw the clock I went into a little bit of freak-out mode, but then I took a step back, and realized that there was nothing that actually could be done with the situation, I might as well just enjoy the fact that I got to sleep in right?
Anyway, so now I am sitting here enjoying my coffee, checking out my twitter, reading some blogs, trying to get into a bloging routine.

Last night in my viral marketing class I spoke with my professor about my senior project. My original idea was to hold an event to promote local up and coming artists. The event will showcase an estimated 6 artists and their sculptures, paintings, woodcuts, collage, and anyother medium they wish to present. For the second focus of the event, there are to be about 4-5 musical performances from very talented unexposed groups. Ideally I would like to have the art work be shown at the gallery for about three weeks also with video footage of the music performances shown.
The main focus of this event would be, not only exposing new artist but a fund raising event for the homeless. All proceeds and donations will be given to The Coalition for the Homeless in NYC. Because a lot of the artists inspiration is from urban, inner city street culture, and some may have even been put in the same situation, it is important to both myself and the artists that we use our talents to give back to this continuing dilemma.

Because of our economical crisis that is currently going on today, my professor strongly suggests that I should not take this route for my senior project. She suggested that I go digital and perhaps have an online auction in order to raise money. I am strongly discouraged but this, I really want to host an event and am willing to deal with and overcome the hurtles I will enevitably face as the event planner. I am going to meet with her again to see what ideas we can brew up. She is a very wise, experienced woman who knows her shit when it comes to marketing, fundraising, and getting things done, so greatly respect her and I am lucky to have her over see my work, yet as @SeanDonahoe. has recelty told me...Never lose sight of a dream.

So that where I am at with that, if anyone has any suggestions or tips, I am all ears, just comment me or twitter me. I'd love to hear from you and would greatly appreciate it.

For now, I am going to drink another cup of coffee :) and go mr. clean on my crib! this apartment is deffinitly living up to its name... the PIGPEN!

Saturday Morning?

Good morning all!

Not quite, its actually almost 3 pm, had sort of a ruff night though. Feeling real blah today, just want to sleep in and veg :(. Drank my flask of Jimmy Beam and somehow feel into a sad drunk state. I havent had that in a while, I'm not quite sure if it was just a product of my environment or if I was just being a drag. Oh well, all in the past I suppose, hopefully my mood switches promptly but that seems a little unlikely. Maybe a visit home to Queens will do the trick. Purchase life maybe really getting to me.
Anywhooo I just put my roommates on to twitter, they seem to enjoy it, testing the waters and all....I need to dive into the whole social networking seem a little more myself. Not only for my Viral Marketing class but for potential career oportunities and of course new experiences and connections.
My goal currently is to get on my blog game, tweet a little more, and see whats good with podcasts. If anyone has some helpful hits with the podcasts lemme know I havent seemed to grasp podcasting yet I'd like to potentially start one.

Maybe I'll go nap,
I'll be back perhaps with some updates on my senior project.
